Die museale Dauerausstellung mit über 400 Exponaten in Berlins pulsierender Mitte
Salvador Dalí – einer der genialsten Künstler der Moderne, der seine Werke und sich selbst auf spektakulärste Weise inszenierte. "Surrealismus für alle" – in diesem Sinne sind nun über 400 Exponate aus Werk und Leben dieser chillernden Persönlichkeit dauerhaft in Berlins Mitte direkt am Potsdamer Platz zu sehen. Dieses neue institutionelle Kulturhighlight ermöglicht dabei dem Besucher den wohl weltweit umfangreichsten Einblick in Dalís Wirken als großer
Meister in nahezu allen Techniken der Kunst .

Gezeigt werden u. a. Zeichnungen, illustrierte Bücher, Dokumente und Arbeitsbelege, original Grafiken und komplette Mappenwerke, dreidimensionale Arbeiten, multiple Objekte und Skulpturen, sowie zeitbegleitende Berichte, Texte und Filmsequenzen.
 

06|09 Deadline! Post it...



Für sein Studium am Savannah College of Art and Design erstellte Bang-yao Liu den absolut beeindruckenden Stop-Motion-Film “DEADLINE“. Rund drei Monate Planung und vier Tage Shooting wurden in das Projekt investiert, bei dem über 6000 Post-It-Notes als Pixel inszeniert werden.

Fischerspooner celebrate the release of their third studio album ‘Entertainment’, out May 5th on FS Studios, with the preview of their new show at New York City’s historic venue The Performing Garage. The group has decided to open the final 3 rehearsals of their new stage show for an extremely limited audience of only 60 people. It is a rare opportunity to see this show up close, raw and in a very intimate setting.

Currently rehearsing and finalizing details in New York, Casey Spooner describes the show: “This is not like any show we have done before. The songs of the current album and other songs from our catalogue are set against a visual and sonic collage made from disparate literary and historical sources and theatrical traditions – the US space program in the 60’s, Noh and Kabuki theater, Flamenco, Mark Twain and other disparate sources. It sounds strange and ridiculous but it all adds up. It becomes a very American story about ambition, experimentation, danger and the frontier. We wanted to create a show where it was impossible to decipher history or specific references. We are in a different place a decade later and this show reflects that.”

Fischerspooner’s live shows combines elements from the worlds of art, fashion, theatre and music. Front man Casey Spooner leads the pack of performers on stage with him through an orchestrated dialogue between avant-garde technique, classical tradition, and pop frivolity. Costumes, choreography and stagecraft collide to create a surprising new musical performance that is both flamboyant and tough.
